The UC Santa Cruz Office of Emergency Services is proud to announce that UC Santa Cruz will once again be a participant in the Great California Shakeout. We will be joining with the other 19.1 million participants scheduled worldwide to prepare our students, staff, and faculty for how best to react to an Earthquake event.
The Great Shakeout is a collaborative earthquake procedure that allows participants to practice the three core actions that should be adhered to whenever an earthquake begins. That is:
- Drop!
- Cover!
- Hold On!
