Although our national community spends more on health care than any other nation, we also suffer from many health concerns which are not experienced by others in high-income nations. This disparity has prompted a national movement towards bettering both personal and public health. While this week provides a focused space to set goals for future health, we encourage you to maintain safe and healthy habits year-round.

Some ideas for bettering personal health and safety include:

  • Self-care
  • Adequate sleep
  • Exercise
  • Good nutrition
  • Emergency preparedness

Some ideas for bettering public health include:

  • Vaccinations
  • Quitting smoking
  • Discussing health access inequality
  • Reducing stigma
  • Other important topics and information can be found here
