After extensive development and feedback from a multitude of campus stakeholders, the Office of Emergency Services is proud to unveil an updated Emergency Response Guide (ERG) for the campus community.  The Emergency Response Guide is a document comprised of emergency procedures for a variety of emergency situations that our community may experience.

From a utility outage to a wildfire, behavioral disruptions to medical emergencies, information is power.  The goal of the Emergency Response Guide is to empower our campus community with the information and resources to take action.  The ERG is available both as a PDF and as a physical tabbed document that is planned for distribution around campus locations during Summer 2022.  The document contains a robust list of contact information alongside online resources.  For example, QR codes embedded in pages of the ERG will direct smartphone users to websites with more detailed information or reporting options.

A Spanish version of the ERG is also in development and will be released on the OES website upon completion.

OES wishes to thank the multitude of campus stakeholders who contributed to the ERG:

  • Environmental Health and Safety
  • UC Police Department
  • Title IX
  • Campus Advocacy and Resources Education
  • Employee and Labor Relations
  • Student Health Services
  • Counseling and Psychological Services
  • Dean of Students

The completed ERG will pave the way for other OES projects designed to enhance campus preparedness and readiness.  Check our website for updated information and resources as they are made available.
