CruzAlert Sign-Up Information and Links for Students

Student phone contact information is automatically collected during the registration process. All students are required to provide a local landline or cell phone contact number when registering for classes, and unless students choose to opt-out of receiving CruzAlert notifications at these number, this number will automatically be loaded into the CruzAlert system.

To update your contact number or make other changes in your CruzAlert preferences, please take the following steps:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Select "Student Center"
  3. Scroll to the "Contact Information" box near the bottom of the page
  4. Select the "Phone Numbers" link
  5. Update your numbers as needed.
  6. If you do not wish to receive CruzAlert notifications, please check the opt-out box. However, we strongly encourage you to make sure you are setup to receive notifications for your own safety.

Student UCSC e-mail addresses are also automatically loaded into the system and used for CruzAlert notifications in addition to phone/text message notifications. Currently, there is no process for students to register any non-UCSC addresses.
